FUJITSU AND 3PAR TEAM TO DELIVER
UTILITY STORAGE SOLUTIONS
3PAR, a leading provider of Utility Storage, announced recently that
Fujitsu
PRIMEPOWER servers have been tested and jointly approved for use in
conjunction with 3PAR InServ Storage Servers. Fujitsu and 3PAR customers
can now leverage the combined benefits of these world-class server and storage
solutions. To ensure additional confidence for customers' mission critical
applications, the two companies have also entered into a cooperative support
agreement for joint problem resolution.
The Fujitsu and 3PAR platforms offer distinct advantages for companies
seeking
to deliver IT services quickly, simply, and economically. Both platforms
leverage modular, scalable architectures that offer unique pay-as-you-grow
advantages. Yet each platform, as demonstrated through industry standard
leadership performance benchmarks, allows customers to meet the requirements
of the most demanding application or consolidation projects.
Mutual Fujitsu and 3PAR customers such as Matsushita Electric Works
Information Systems Co, Ltd (NAIS-IS) are the principal beneficiaries of
this new partnership. A wholly owned subsidiary of Matsushita Electric Works
Ltd, NAIS-IS offers IT infrastructure services, ASP services, and services
for multimedia streaming.
