Network Engines Announces Ipsum
Server Appliance Solution
Network Engines has announced availability of a server appliance offered by
Ipsum Networks that identifies the root cause of Layer 3 problems across
enterprise networks and monitors the impact on application flow path
availability. Engineered and manufactured by Network Engines, a leading
development, manufacturing and distribution partner for storage and security
software and equipment providers, and sold by Ipsum Networks, the Route
Dynamics product suite is the first server appliance solution to deliver
real-time automated root cause analysis of complex and costly IP routing
faults.
The Route Dynamics appliance is a stand-alone unit that can be installed
quickly and easily into an enterprise environment to improve availability of
network resources. The appliance puts automated fault and root cause
capabilities into the hands of network technicians, allowing rapid resolution
of IP routing faults and ensuring higher application and service
availability.
"Route Dynamics increases network availability by identifying the root
cause
of Layer 3 problems across the network and monitoring the impact on
application flow path availability," said Frank Hayes, vice president of
marketing at Ipsum Networks. "By developing this mission-critical solution on
a stand-alone appliance it has allowed us to rapidly deliver a complete,
packaged solution to the market, while providing our customers with a solution
they can install quickly and easily without negatively impacting existing
network and server resources."
"Network Engines is pleased to supply Ipsum Networks with appliance
services
as they provide a significant enhancement to network availability," said Mike
Riley, vice president of marketing and strategy for Network Engines. "We
believe a server appliance offers the best method to achieve rapid deployment
of new applications for mission-critical requirements. It not only provides
Ipsum with a beneficial differentiation, it also lowers total cost of
ownership for their customers."
