SecurityMetrics To Present Live
Hack Demo At CSI NetSec Conf
SecurityMetrics, developers of innovative data security solutions,
announced
that it will present a "Live Hack Demo" at the CSI NetSec Conference in New
Orleans on June 23rd at 5:15 PM and June 24 at 5:30 PM in the French Market
Exhibit Hall located on the third floor of the Hyatt Regency New Orleans
Hotel.
The "SecurityMetrics Live Hack Demo" has been presented to several
organizations and at a number of security conferences. The demonstration
consists of an attack on a live server. The hacking methodology is outlined
with real examples and information used by hackers to successfully attack and
take control of Internet web servers.
Many network administrators believe once their Internet servers are
configured
and running they are secure. Due to the rapidly changing security landscape it
is not possible for operating system vendors to pre-configure adequate
security for all situations. New security weaknesses are discovered daily. If
Internet servers are not updated with patches regularly as new exploits are
discovered, hackers can breach these servers soon after deployment.
Brad Caldwell, CEO of SecurityMetrics, said "We are very pleased to present
the 'Live Hack Demo' at the NetSec conference. The 'SecurityMetrics Live Hack
Demo' is a powerful way to show both technical and non-technical attendees how
vulnerable their assets and data can be. As you watch how computer hackers
work, you begin to understand your vulnerabilities and the need for expert
security services. The presentation also demonstrates how easily organizations
can secure their networks and protect their business assets.
