NEW CO LAUNCHES WITH TECHNOLOGY TARGETING GRID-BASED TEAMS

The management team of e-Wings Inc announced the March 2003 launch of the company. e-Wings is developing, marketing and deploying next generation Internet-based software products and services that support distributed teams, enabling the uninterrupted pursuit of a business goal to completion.

e-Wings Inc provides both software and implementation expertise to help companies improve business results by developing the internal capacity to aggressively pursue a business goal to completion, regardless of time or geography. The growth of distributed teams is explosive, fueled by technology, a focus on world markets and the necessity to continue operations during crisis situations. According to Gary Benedetti, e-Wings CEO and former Vice President of Netscape, "e-Wings software demands a team's focus and self-organization. In today's business environment, compan ies use email, instant messaging, conference calls, digital video and face-to-face meetings to move work forward. e-Wings enables people to conduct business online by managing and organizing all of the team's work regardless of what communication medium and collaboration tools are used. e-Wings delivers a total solution to the requirements of distributed teams by developing the teams internal capability to focus continually on a company's highest impact priorities."

The launch of e-Wings brings a first-to-market technology solution to an age-old business problem: how to keep teams moving forward toward the established business goals after a meeting is over. Collaboration tools on the market today help people coordinate. In contrast, the e-Wings software solution helps teams reach their business goals by staying focused on task and working collaboratively to achieve a common outcome or goal. The premise of the e-Wings solution is that technology can be used to do much of a team's work, that until now could only be accomplished face-to-face. Using technology effectively enables teams to keep working continuously regardless of time and geography; reducing travel time and expenses; and provides an environment where quicker, smarter, more innovative solutions are created.

Distributed teams within Gillette and Best Foods/Unilever have already used the e-Wings solution. "Since we deployed e-Wings, we are no longer struggling with the obstacle of geographically dispersed people. Our travel time and expenses have been reduced and our team members continue to be productive after everyone returns to their home office," explains Diani Santucci of Unilever.

The e-Wings software product was developed by a cross-functional team of experienced collaboration professionals under the direction of Dr. Lewis Frees. Dr. Frees is the founder of Harmony Inc. and has 30 years of experience and success improving organizational performance. Development efforts were led by CTO Dave Buonomo, founder of Blue Atlas Interactive. e-Wings, Inc. is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to software solutions, the company provides consulting and facilitation services, implementation training and technical support services.
