WARP Solutions Targets Mid-Mkt Enterprises with SpiderCache
WARP Technology Holdings Inc, a leading provider of network and application
acceleration technology solutions, has announced a new version of its WARP
SpiderCache v3 software designed specifically for small-and medium-sized
businesses (SMBs) and mid-market enterprises.
This new version offers a range of features and functionality to improve the
speed and performance of dynamic and static content delivered over the Web, as
well as the flexibility to manage and personalize cached content.
WARP SpiderCache v3 is a software-based solution that offers multi-platform
support for Windows, Linux and Solaris. Key features of WARP SpiderCache v3
include a distributed architecture, advanced security, user request events,
clustering, native virtual hosting, and support for Apache 2.0.
The key enhancement to WARP SpiderCache v3 is its innovative distributed
architecture that provides organizations with flexible configuration and
installation options. The SpiderCache Central Manager module provides a
console to set-up cached content and distribute it when required. The
SpiderCache Source Manager, installed on the origin Web server(s), provides
access to the source files of the Web site as well as a source location to
place partially cached content. WARP SpiderCache includes web server plug-ins
for Microsoft Internet Information Server on Windows NT/2000, and Apache
servers on Solaris or Linux.
"The new version of WARP SpiderCache provides SMBs and mid-market enterprises
with a powerful, software-based solution to optimize performance and capacity
of their web applications and content," explained Greg Parker, CTO of WARP
Solutions. "The software's distributed architecture gives organizations the
flexibility to configure their server infrastructure with advanced partial
page and object level caching features that can be distributed and delivered
from the edge."
Other Product Highlights
WARP SpiderCache v3 also provides advanced security and personalization
features such as adding access levels and granularity at the user-level. This
includes logon and authentication by user name and password, addition/removal
of users, permission to clear cached content and configuration settings, and
access to settings on a per Web site basis.
WARP SpiderCache's Central Manager enables advanced clustering for
administration, configuration, request queuing and clear-caching across a
group of servers. In addition, the Central Manager provides native virtual
hosting, and can maintain settings and the cache for many virtual hosts. WARP
SpiderCache v3 also offers the user total flexibility in definition of URL
structure and adaptors for cache processing.
