PLATFORM COMPUTING SIGNS GLOBAL GRID AGREEMENT WITH NEC
Platform Computing announced that they have signed a comprehensive OEM
agreement with NEC Corporation (NEC), in which NEC will offer Platform
Computing's software on its IA Server Express5800 Series. Through this
partnership, NEC will provide its customers in manufacturing, government and
education with comprehensive, integrated solutions to increase productivity
and performance through improved collaboration and sharing of heterogeneous
compute resources across multiple domains and geographic locations within and
between companies.

with customers. This agreement formally recognizes the added value of our
integrated products and technical capacity," said Yasuo Iwaoka, Executive
General Manager, Computers Software Operations Unit. "With Platform
Computing's solutions, we can exploit a real computing utility era and deliver
true global computing. Distributed and Grid computing has the potential to
enormously impact HPC, and with Platform Computing's solutions we can improve
our customers' collaboration, productivity and performance."

NEC will sell, install and support Platform Computing's unique suite of
comprehensive solutions, including Platform LSF. NEC will also provide
Platform Clusterware, the industry's first and only cluster management
solution combining workload management and systems management into a single,
integrated package, on Express5800 Series including cluster systems.
