research infrastructure of WestGrid (Western Canada Research Grid), project

SPANISH GRID TECHNOLOGY FOR THE JAPANESE MARKET
- BestSystems and the Spanish company GridSystems have signed a distribution
agreement that will grant Grid Research Inc, a subsidiary of BestSystems,
the ability to distribute the InnerGrid Software developed by GridSystems in
the Japanese market.

GATEWAY GRID DRIVES DIABETES RESEARCH
- Significantly increasing the speed and accuracy at which the more than 17
million Americans with diabetes can find the best treatments, the American
Diabetes Association (ADA) announced recently that it has selected the
grid-computing service from Gateway Inc and United Devices, leaders in
secure grid solutions.

ROTHBERG INSTITUTE LEVERAGES GRID TECH TO COMBAT SARS
- The Rothberg Institute for Childhood Diseases, a non-profit research
institute devoted to discovering and developing drugs for orphan childhood
diseases, has announced the addition of a recently discovered SARS target to
its D2OL (Drug Design and Optimization Lab) grid computing project.

SURFnet SELECTS GLOBAL CROSSING FOR NEW TRANSATLANTIC LINK
- Global Crossing has been awarded a contract by the Netherlands national
research network, SURFnet, to provision a 10 Gbit/s lambda link between the
Dutch advanced optical infrastructure NetherLight in Amsterdam and the
StarLight research facility in Chicago.
