The Air Force Research Laboratory, Det 15 will be holding their annual AMOS Technical Conference at the Wailea Marriott, on Maui from 8 to 12 September, 2003.

The conference series aims to provide optical, space surveillance, and computing professionals a cutting-edge forum to exchange and publish their work and ideas. It is intended for scientists, engineers, and technical managers from academia, industry, government, and military programs.

This will be an unclassified conference consisting of featured speakers, a technical program, and poster sessions. On one day of the conference, attendance will be limited to personnel from the U.S. Government agencies and their contractors.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts describing new research, innovations, and developments in the following categories:

Space Situational Awareness
Laser Propagation and Laser Radar
Imaging Theory, Algorithms, and Performance Prediction
Non-Resolved Object Characterization
Astronomy
Atmospherics
Small or Autonomous Telescope Systems
Adaptive optics
Orbital debris
Satellite Modeling
Computational Object Identification
High Performance Computing Applications in Astronomy
Other High Performance Computing Applications

Important Dates

15 April 2003: Abstracts due

15 May 2003: Notification of acceptance

Submission Instructions

1. Abstracts do not need to be cleared for public release, since they will only be used in determining acceptance of your paper. If your paper is accepted, you will receive instructions regarding clearance requirements.

2. Submit an abstract of your work and a brief author biography via email to amostech@maui.com. Include in your submission (s) the names, complete addresses, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses of all authors and (b) indicate the corresponding category.

3. Abstracts should be 300-500 words in length. Adobe Acrobat (PDF) or Microsoft Word format only.
