UNITED DEVICES EASES ENTERPRISE ADOPTION OF GRIDS

United Devices, a market leader in secure grid solutions, announced several industry-leading service offerings for both customers and partners designed to ease enterprise adoption of grid computing technology. The company's new services and pricing packages promise to significantly expand the value of United Devices' penetration into new and existing markets.

"More and more companies are moving to grid technology -- and consultants, systems integrators, and ISV's need to be ready," said Ahmar Abbas, Research Director, Technology Grid Partners.

"These programs truly raise the bar for grid computing," said United Devices CEO, Ed Hubbard. "We've listened to our customers and partners and have crafted unprecedented professional service offerings designed to take grid computing to the next level."

The first of these new offerings, the Grid Discovery program, is designed to arm those companies considering a grid solution with the information they need to make wise evaluation decisions related to their specific business needs - regardless of the ultimate vendor solution. This full-impact assessment reveals how a grid solution can affect all aspects of a business, including applications, users, IT infrastructure and spending, company culture and financial viability. In addition, clients that are a good fit for a United Devices' grid implementation will find a range of pilot offerings available, from free hosted trials to money-back guarantees on select pilots. United Devices will also offer flexible pricing plans giving those evaluating a grid implementation the ability to purchase or lease any of the company's solutions.

Industry leadership has also been extended to key partners with the announcement of United Devices' Grid Explorer( program for independent software vendors (ISVs). The Grid Explorer program allows ISVs interested in leveraging United Devices' technical and marketing resources to "grid-enable" an application and take it to market with the help of United Devices' strategic partners. These qualified ISVs in life sciences, geosciences, engineering, government, financial services, manufacturing, chemical engineering and entertainment will have the opportunity to develop an integrated grid solution that will provide them with a competitive edge, driving additional revenue from both new and existing customers.

Finally, the Grid Navigator program is aimed at grid-focused consultants and systems integrators interested in benefiting from grid computing. The Grid Navigator program offers a turn-key training and referral partnership program for small to mid-sized consultants and systems integrators looking to increase their competitive professional services reach and satisfy their customer demand for grid expertise and solutions.
