Global Hauri Ships ViRobot
Security Software
Global Hauri, global publishers of next-generation antivirus software
solutions, announced the official launch of ViRobot Expert for desktops and
servers. The unique antivirus software actually kills most leading viruses,
including Nimda and Klez, instead of only quarantining them.
Global Hauri takes a new proactive approach to enterprise security
architecture. ViRobot is unique in its ability to not simply isolate viruses,
but to destroy them and prevent re-infection. ViRobot's unique scanning
technology was invented and patented by Hauri, Inc, a public company on the
South Korean KOSDAQ stock exchange.
A 30-day trial version of the software is available for download now at
www.globalhauri.com.
ViRobot supports all Windows based platforms, including Windows
95/98/Me/2000
Professional/NT (Workstations)/XP.
"Although Global Hauri's ViRobot is not well known in the US yet, we are
very
well regarded in the technical community. For example, Global Hauri products
are certified to carry the Designed for Windows XP logo," explained Eric Kwon,
the President & CEO of Global Hauri Inc. "We are one of only five products to
be given this highest level of certification."
The ViRobot offers unique technologies for substantial performance
increases.
ViRobot runs in the Windows Explorer scanning attachments and detects new
viruses while the user sends and receives emails on real-time basis. ViRobot
also automatically provides users with the latest software updates from Hauri,
sending Virus Alerts and news without having to connect to the Hauri web page.
Due to the characteristics of new viruses, it is essential to update computers
periodically. An Automatic Update notice function analyses all recent update
patterns, and offers scheduled Update function for a regular updates.
As part of the software package, the ViRobot comes with an On-line Customer
Support Service and Virus analysis reports within 24 hours. ViRobot detects
unknown computer viruses and moves them into a virtual directory in Windows
95/98/Me/2000 Professional/NT (Workstations)/XP to prevent virus infections.
On request, the stored virus files will be sent to Global Hauri's Virus
Customer Support Team for analysis. Analysis reports are sent back within 24
hours. All files sent through the virus transmission function are encrypted
for security reasons.
Once loaded, ViRobot is shown as an icon on the Microsoft Outlook toolbar
and
menu. When Microsoft Outlook is used as mail client, ViRobot provides on-
demand scans of all local folders. ViRobot automatically detects an installed
copy of Microsoft Outlook on the PC and enables the user interface elements to
use this feature. The latest version of definition files are being offered for
download. The real-time sharing of virus information safeguards the user
computer system from virus spreads.
