Cysive Releases Cymbio Interaction Server 3.1

Cysive, Inc. announced the availability of the Cysive Cymbio Interaction Server 3.1, a new version of Cysive Cymbio designed to enable users to interact with the enterprise however and whenever they need. Cysive Cymbio creates a fourth tier in the enterprise architecture that converges devices, applications and connection modes into a seamless user experience.

"Pervasive computing is a reality. So is user frustration," said Nelson Carbonell, president and CEO of Cysive, Inc. "Reducing user frustration requires enterprises to enable multi-channel interaction, orchestrate back-end systems, and manage transactions that span devices, applications and time."

The Cysive Cymbio Interaction Server creates a new architecture layer, the interaction tier, as a proxy for the user in the enterprise. The result is an integrated, interactive user experience that serves business needs by implementing business rules, enabling long-running transactions, and reducing errors that cost businesses customers, revenue or operating expenses.

Forrester Research recognizes the need for greater technology responsiveness to business needs in its Organic IT initiative. In a speech given by Josh Walker, Research Director at Forrester's Technology Leadership Forum, he stated that it's all about providing a better user experience. Cysive is a company taking an innovative approach to solving this problem. The solution will require Service Oriented Software that lets users drive, orchestrates business processes for how users interact with the enterprise, and uses Web Services to create a standards-based software infrastructure.

Cysive Cymbio Interaction Server Version 3.1 includes multiple enhancements, including:

  • Multi-channel support for thin and rich clients, including .NET, Macromedia Flash, Java Swing, J2ME and over 1000 handheld devices, allowing enterprises to enable interaction from any client or device type.
  • Enterprise integration through Web Services adaptors to JCA, JMS, EJB, Java classes and Binary environments, leveraging existing enterprise IT investments and improving developer productivity.
  • Visual environment for development and deployment of interaction scenarios and business processes to orchestrate multiple applications and systems into a coherent user process.
  • Visual console for management and monitoring of active scenarios to ensure performance.
  • Application server independence through integrated load balancing and clustering using Sun Jini technology, ensuring efficient performance in all enterprise architectures.
  • Bundled download with leading application servers, enabling easy download, installation and interoperability with every enterprise infrastructure.

The Cysive Cymbio Evaluation Version allows developers to download and install Cysive Cymbio and develop a sample, Interaction application. Cysive Cymbio 3.1 is available immediately.
