NBT GAINS FUNDING, PROMISES BROADER GRID WAN FILE-SHARING

One more company is preparing to join the set of startups trying to speed up client/server interactions across wide area networks. NBT Technologies, based in San Francisco, has just snagged $6.6m in a series A funding round led by Accel Partners, with LightSpeed Venture Partners as the second investor.

PRISM GT WLAN MOVES DATA FASTER OVER THE GRID
Intersil Corporation announced that D-Link Systems has selected Intersil's PRISM GT Wireless Local Area Networking (WLAN) chip set to provide 802.11g connectivity for D-Link's new AirPlus Xtreme G DI-624 Wireless Router with 4-Port Switch and the AirPlus Xtreme G DWL-G650 Wireless CardBus Adapter.
